Looking ahead to the new year, I’m delighted to be doing a virtual Guest Reading Session for Arvon. Incredible authors like Neil Gaiman and Sarah Waters have gone before me, so it's a huge honour to be asked. My session is on Wednesday 26th January at 19:15 GMT and is via Zoom.
There will be closed captions and a recording available for four weeks, for attendees who can't make it live or want to rewatch the event. I'm looking forward to reading from The Choice, talking about my inspiration for the story, my creative process and how I manage my disability with my writing. I'd love for you to join me! You can book tickets online here and there are concessionary rates available. Claire Wade is the winner of the Good Housekeeping Novel Competition and author of The Choice. She was bed bound for six years with severe ME, trapped in a body that wouldn't do what she wanted. She now writes about people who want to break free from the constraints of their lives, a subject she's deeply familiar with.
