Once Upon A Time...

There once was a young woman stuck in bed with severe ME/CFS, so poorly she couldn't read or write.

But she could dream.  

She imagined fantastic places, exciting adventures and romances that swept her away. 

I'm that woman. 
I was bed bound for six years and my only escape was through my imagination. 

I now write about women who want to break free from the constraints of their lives, a subject I'm deeply familiar with

I love books, baking and the WI.

I'm the founding president of a modern WI (Women’s Institute) and run a baking club for other cake lovers.

Where do I write?

You’ll find me in my writing room, nicknamed Narnia because it’s also home to a wardrobe and is the place where I escape to other worlds.

​I'm happiest if I've got a slice of chocolate cake, a cup of tea and a good book.
