![]() I love pancakes, I can't quite believe that you can take flour, milk and eggs, mix them together and get something so delicious! They're so simple and so versatile. I like my pancakes thin and crispy; but the rest of my family prefer them thick and doughy. Traditionally I always have pancakes for breakfast on my birthday; but a whole day dedicated to them is pretty amazing in my opinion. Pancake Day (also known as Shrove Tuesday) is the last day before Lent, when Christians used up ingredients that were forbidden until Easter. These included fat, butter and eggs. Pancakes are the perfect way to use them up! I've been quite adventurous with pancake toppings in the past, both sweet and savoury. These are my absolute favourites.
