I have some news from Hodderscape about the open submission. 1,445 people entered. 8 were asked to submit their full manuscript.

I'm one of the eight!

I'm delighted and stunned. I had no idea that so few would be asked to submit out of so many. I thought that my manuscript would be buried on a hard drive somewhere, lost among the many.

It's great because they outlined the process of what happens next. It's reassuring and means I can forget about it for a while, keep writing and trust that I will hear back when the time is right.

The impossible dream is a big step closer to being possible. I now have my fingers crossed.
